You can take your own No New Taxes Pledge, courtesy of the Arizona Free Enterprise Club. It's "an Arizona taxpayer petition to balance the state budget by cutting spending and opposing tax increases."
Because supporters Kyl, Flake, Shadegg and Steve Forbes can't be wrong.
I would like to see SBA funding equal to 5% of any new bailout programs that are enacted at the federal level. Increasing funds to small business will build a strong foundation for new companies and jobs in the future.
I think the reduction in government jobs offsets any improved private activity that keeping taxes the same might create.
As you may have noticed in many of my earlier posts, I declare myself a proud tax and spend liberal. I even have a TASL logo which you can find on the right sidebar. So you can think of me as an idiot, but not a hypocrite.
I didn’t pull those four names out of the air, by the way. If you look at the Arizona Free Enterprise Club home page, you’ll see it has quotes from all four of these folks praising the group.
So maybe those four are the hypocrites?
Why not be direct – just say that raising taxes and increasing government spending is good.
And as far and Kyl, Flake and Shadegg go I am pretty sure those three have no problem with government spending. Flake opposes certain kinds of spending but I am certain that none of them met an F-16 appropriation bill they didn’t like.
