  1. Sen. Kavanagh:
Let’s cut to it. How about we get clarity on the past and present before tackling the future? Suppose a sitting president had provided health care insurance for millions that would otherwise not have it. Suppose that president had saved America’s auto industry. Suppose on that president’s watch the unemployment rate was at the lowest in decades. Suppose on that president’s watch the stock market had nearly tripled. Would that make you happy? Did it make you happy? Now will *you* evade the question?

  2. “Does well” means that the economy improves, terrorism is reduced and tensions around the world, especially in the Middle East lessen.

If Trump helps achieve those ends, would you be happy?

It is a pretty straight forward question.

        • 1)Because I don’t come from the position that Trump will improve anything in America, so why predict on something I don’t believe will happen.
2)What I said is exactly how your Party reacted to everything Obama did, and now you want us to play nice, after your party thwarted Obama and stole a Supreme Court seat. America will not be progressing under your Party’s reactionary leadership.
          Did I answer your question?

  3. The real question is will America do well if Trump does well. I think what worries many of us is that Trump is out for Trump. Additionally, who’s definition of “well?” The rich? The poor? Children? The environment? We all have different definitions of what a successful America looks like and unfortunately, it seems the attitude of “I’ve got mine, screw you” permeates. I believe in working for “the common good.” I believe in neighbors helping neighbors. I believe that we are only as strong as our weakest link. Do I believe Trump cares about any of this? HELL NO! But…unlike Mitch McConnell, I do not wish for Trump to fail because I do not wish for our nation to fail.

    • No person is responsible for all advances, even the president of the United States, and no president can advance all the issues.

BUT if OVERALL, the country and the world moved forward and Trump could rightfully share some responsibility for that, WOULD YOU ALL BE HAPPY OR SAD AT TRUMP’S SUCESS?

    • “Does well” at what? Cranking up an arms race? The answer to your question depends on your definition of success. Trump’s intentions are revealed by his cabinet picks. They follow the X-antiX formula. For that agency X which Trump intends to damage or destroy he populates the cabinet with antiX. In those areas I do wish him failure.
