“This talk will look at how our foreign policy has enabled the creation of Pax Americana, and framed our relationships with USSR/Russia and China which have dominated our history ever since the end of WWII, He will also look at current trends in foreign policy.
William Dixon is Professor of Political Science at the University of Arizona where he teaches courses in international politics and research methods. He was Head of the Department of Political Science from 2004 to 2009 when it merged with Public Administration to become the new School of Government and Public Policy. He received a PhD from Ohio State University and taught at Emory University in Atlanta before joining the faculty at Arizona over 20 years ago. He serves on the board of the United Nations Association of Southern Arizona and speaks frequently to community groups about national and international political issues.”
