One Response to Former U.S. Senator Mark Udall speaking on torture

  1. Terrific talk by Senator Udall (son of Congressman Mo) who told the audience of about 80 people about his role on the U.S. Senate Intelligence committee when the recent oversight report on the CIA’s EIT (enhanced intelligence techniques aka torture) was released last fall. He said that the report “impaired the moral leadership of the U.S., causing international distrust of the CIA” and this ongoing cover up. He said the White House response is also a cover up, that the CIA lied about the tip off regarding the Osama bin Laden assassination. Udall called for accountability, the resignation of CIA Director John Brennan, changing the culture of corruption at the CIA. Senator Udall grew up in Tucson, attended Canyon del Oro HS, now lives in Colorado.
