“Updates on Arizona’s Challenges: Water and Sun”
Sharon Megdal, Director of the U of A Water Resources Research Center (WRRC) will address water use in general.  The other speaker is Kevin Koch with Technicians for Sustainability.

Sharon B. Megdal is Director of The University of Arizona Water Resources Research Center (WRRC).  She also holds the titles: Professor and Specialist, Department Soil, Water, and Environmental Science; C.W. & Modene Neely Endowed Professor; and Distinguished Outreach Professor.  Her work focuses on water policy and management, on which she writes and frequently speaks, with the geographic scope ranging from local to international.  Current projects include: comparative evaluation of water management, policy, and governance in growing, water-scarce regions; groundwater management and governance; groundwater recharge; and transboundary aquifer assessment.  Since January 2009 she has represented the residents of Pima County on the Board of Directors for the Central Arizona Project.

Kevin Koch is the CEO of Technicians for Sustainability (TFS), a solar design-build company founded in 2003, and a leading local solar company in Southern Arizona since 2008. Kevin has worked in the solar field for more than 18 years, and has led TFS through B-Corp certification and a transition to an Employee Owned company.
