A laugh-to-keep-from-crying moment from Texas.
Texas State Rep. Debbie Riddle has proposed a law making hiring an undocumented alien a crime that could land you in prison for up to two years and cost you up to $10,000 in fines.
Oh, wait, there's an exception. It's OK if it's someone you hire to do household chores.
As Texas state Rep. Aaron Pena, also a Republican, told CNN, without the exemption, "a large segment of the Texas population" would wind up in prison if the bill became law.
I'll leave the humorous come-backs to you commenters. I can't top Pena's punchline.
