The Arizona Guardian reports that the House and Senate passed the Republican budget bill and sent it to Brewer early Saturday morning.
Republicans wrangled over some items on the budget but, so far as I can tell, left the education cuts intact. Sen. Jack Harper pushed to have 25% of the K-12 cuts come from administration, but settled for language saying the cuts would come from administration where possible. Brewer restored some health and welfare programs,and the Science Foundation's 21st Century Fund was cut.
No word on what Brewer will do, but since she only suggested a few changes, I'm guessing she'll sign.
Post-Napolitano Arizona is open for business.
