LD 9 State Senator Steve Farley will be lecturing, though he does not live in the neighborhood. This SHNA home tour fundraiser is held every other year in the Spring.
Sam Hughes Neighborhood is east of the UA, northern boundary is Speedway Blvd., southern one is Boardway Blvd, from Campbell Ave. to Country Club Rd.
We toured 9 of the 10 residences — amazingly beautiful, unique homes, many with 2nd floors and pools. Also dropped into 2 realtor Open Houses for recently renovated homes on sale at over $500,000. Missed Senator Farley’s talk at 2:30 P.M. at Catalina Methodist Church (no time) but did take in 3 businesses — Tumerico Mexican restaurant, Qilosophy (new massage/chiropractic business) and Jen’s Organic Home (who served mimoas and lunch salads). What a deal. Printed program tickets sold out at 1 p.m. so maps were printed for other visitors. Gorgeous day for a home tour of gorgeous homes. Neighbor/artist Vytas Sakalas had his art on view at 2 homes as well.
