Melvin: a candidate with STENGTH (read the word carefully) and an endorsement from David P.

by David Safier

I can't resist posting this.

A mailer for Cap'n Al Melvin from the Arizona Association of REALTORS Leadership Committee uses these words to describe him: INTEGRITY • SECURITY • STENGTH

Stength? Help, my English teacher antennae are twitching, and I can't make them stop!

But that's not my favorite part of the mailer. My favorite part is the quote endsorsing Melvin. Pay special attention to the person making the endorsement.

" . . . Melvin is getting things done . . . he is the kind of legislator we need. Tough on border issues and willing to stand up for what he believes — he has my vote."  -David P. District 26 Resident

David not only has a single letter last name — P. — but he has the distinguished title of "District 26 Resident." Mr. P. must be a very special man.

Here is the portion of the mailer with those two wonderful features, in case you think I'm making this up. (Click on it to see a full sized image.)

  1. Stength. As in “used to stink?”

  2. LOL. My favorite part is your favorite part ‘endsorsing Melvin”. I think we should end any and all sorsing he is getting.

  3. Stength. I think there’s a cream for that.
