Saturday, October 1, 3:00 p.m.: SanTan Oktoberfest. The ninth annual Oktoberfest for San Tan Brewing and Downtown Chandler. at 3 South San Marcos Place, Chandler. This event typically includes stein races, keg rolling, tricycle races, keg contest, bratwurst eating contests and a beer pong tournament. $12 admission (kids 12 and under are free). Presale tickets go on sale for $10 on September 1.

Saturday, October 1, 5:30 p.m.: Arizona Democratic Party Hal of Fame Dinner, at the Talking Stick Resort, 9800 Talking Stick Way, Scottsdale, AZ. Keynote speaker is prominent civil rights attorney Thomas Perez. This will be our last big gathering before Election Day, and it’s a great opportunity to meet with some of the other Democrats working so hard to turn our state blue. Friday, October 7 – Sunday, October 9: 43rd Anual Tempe Oktoberfest, at Tempe Town Lake. Tempe Oktoberfest as a fundraiser for its student and teacher exchange program. Admission is free. German style bratwurst, potato salad, and big pretzels! Music by Big Willie and the Polka Meisters. Entry is $25 and a portion of the proceeds benefits the Rotary Club of Sedona Rocks and the STEM program at Sedona Oak Creek School District.
