He is a rising young star in the party. Wednesdays, 10:00 a.m.: Democratic Club of the Santa Rita Area hosts a Current Events Discussion Group at the DCSRA Headquarters, Continental Shopping Plaza, 240 W. Join us at the weekly meeting of the Democratic Headquarters Current Events Discussion Group. We’ll talk about some of the major events of the previous week, including but not limited to political topics, and try and go behind the news for a deeper understanding. Drinking Liberally

Third Wednesday of each month, 6:00 p.m.: Drinking Liberally returns to Tucson, at Casa Vicente (375 S. We The People Summit – Phoenix

Saturday, June 24, 8:30 a.m.: We The People Summit, at the Phoenix Convention Center, 100 N. 3rd Street, Phoenix.  Arizona Rep. Ken Clark along with many others have organized an event with the purpose for members of activist organizations to get to know one another plus gain knowledge and resources to assist them in effecting change in Arizona. The first of three progressive summits will be held June 24th in Phoenix and it is called “We the People.” 36 workshops will be presented at the summit ranging from “Organizing Your Neighborhood” to “Knowing and Working with Unions” to “Using Social Media for Action” and “How to Engage Younger Generations.” Complete List of Workshops. El Dia de San Juan Fiesta – Tucson

A traditional start of Tucson’s summer, Dia de San Juan celebrates the coming monsoon rain season and honors St. John the Baptist (patron saint of water).
