    • “Why viewers still make use of to read news papers…”

That is a very good question. That may be why newspapers have been going out of business for several years. If it weren’t for the discount coupons, it would be interesting to see how many people would take the newspaper. Now that coupons are on line, what will newspapers do to survive? My opinion is we aren’t losing much…

      • I had a girlfriend who complained that I always sent her running for the dictionary. Anyone who sends me running like that is doing me a service!

  1. rep. grijalva is the kind of democrat arizona and the nation needs and so desperately lacks instead we get fred duval clones.

  2. It’s time to hold the parents responsible for bringing their children here illegally. DACA was not intended for adults it was for minors under 16. Today adults that hold jobs , go to school, protest are old enough to apply for citizenship. The American taxpayer owes DACA children nothing. They have had a free education, free healthcare (via ER at hospitals) some cases welfare and food stamps. If they stay in USA it should be done legally and not given a free ride for breaking the law.

      • Don’t you know that different strains of Christianity, such as Puritans & Mormons, fled religious oppression so they could establish their safe spaces in order to look down on those who don’t believe as they do? One could say the same thing about other faiths as well.

I think you are largely correct, Wileybud. That same thing can be said about ethnicities, cultures, races, languages, political dissidents , etc. Generally speaking, people tend to associate with similar people, whether that similarity is genetic or learned. It is one of the chief sources of human conflict. Today, we may may think and feel such separation is wrong, but in the past, such separations served to aid in survival. Right or wrong, that need to associate is still strong within us and it does create unfortunate splits and provides the fodder for looking down on, and being intolerant of, others.

It is a sad commentary on the human condition…
