Save Ethnic Studies forum today

by David Safier

This is a little late, but for those who are interested in attending:

Save Ethnic Studies will be featured at an educational forum hosted by the ACLU of Southern Arizona and Las Adelitas Arizona on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010 following the filing of a lawsuit by 11 Tucson teachers against Tom Horne and the Arizona State Board of Education last month.

Two of the plaintiffs will discuss with the community the impact that their classes have on their TUSD students. On hand will be Dr. Augustine Romero, previous director of Mexican-American Studies in TUSD and attorney Richard M. Martinez who will discuss the legal challenge they are bringing to HB 2281.

  1. Who could oppose this law? Except facists, on the right & left. What do La Raza & the Aryan Nation have in common? Promotion of ethnic soildarity & resentment of others. Stop the hate.
