The Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce facilitates a non-partisan Southern Arizona Candidate Academy open to anyone who is interested in running for local, state or federal office or anyone interested in working on a campaign.
The Academy has been endorsed by the Pima County Democratic and Pima County Republican Parties. The program has graduated over eighty (80) participants since its inception.
The Chamber compiles expert speakers from Democratic, Republican and non-partisan entities to teach the attendees about important issues and details in running for office.
Campaign Staff is also welcome to attend and many of the sessions focus on the administrative duties in a campaign as well as the personal, professional, and financial impacts of running for office.
