Intriguing idea to host a summer concert on board a moving streetcar. First concert starts tonight at 7 p.m. at the far west Mercado San Agustin stop (west of I-10). Buy your $4 round trip Sun Go ticket and listen to Jimmy Carr and the Awkward Moments perform. It’ll will be a great way to stay cool in the air conditioned, new streetcar, till 9 p.m.
Sun Link started operating in Tucson on July 25, 2014 and their one year anniversary will be coming up next month.
Joined the inaugural concert attendees for this fun concert on board Sun Link, leaving promptly at 7 p.m. from the Mercado, to the UA and back. Standing room only to listen to Jimmy Carr and The Awkward Moments, with lively clapping and enthusiastic applause. A great way to spend a Saturday evening riding through downtown, 4th Avenue and the deserted UA campus. KXCI disc jockey John Putnam (Mele O Hawaii, Saturdays 6 to 8 a.m.) was on board as well.
