Well, OK, no day goes by with only one ugly conservative moment. But this one deserves special mention. I commented earlier to Dave's post on Brewer's education plan to give the most funding to the schools that needed it the least, saying it would be hard to devise a sicker, crueler plan.
Well, it doesn't have anything to do with education, but some cretan in the New Mexico lege has a proposal right up at the top of the sick and cruel list. Apparently, as Huff Po reports, she wants to treat as felons pregnant rape victims who undergo abortions, on the basis that they're destroying evidence of a crime. Yes, you read that correctly.
If this is where the far right is, and the furthest left we have is, say, Elizabeth Warren (who actually is to the right of me), how can the center possibly be a good place to be?
