Watch Zona Politics forum on Ward 3 Democratic Council candidates

Host Jim Nintzel moderated a forum on his TV show Zona Politics, with all 3 Democratic Tucson City Council candidates running in the Ward 3 primary. The 3 candidates are Felicia Chew (middle school teacher), Paul Durham (retired attorney), Tom Tronsdal (business owner).

“The televised edition of Zona Politics airs at 6:30 p.m. Fridays and 9 a.m. Sundays on the Creative Tucson network, Cox Channel 20 and Xfinity Channel 74. You can hear a radio edition of the show at 5 p.m. on community radio KXCI, 91.3 FM.”

After opening statements, all candidates addressed questions on issues of Ward 3: poverty, Sun Tran bus service, Grant Road project, early childhood Strong Start proposed sales tax,  Reid Park Zoo proposed sales tax, energy efficiency, with final closing statements.

Voters in Ward 3 will decide who will be their Councilmember choice in the Democratic primary on August 29, to face off with Independent candidate Gary Watson in the General Election on Nov. 7, 2017 .  3 term Democratic Councilwoman Karin Uhlich is retiring.
