Crowded Amtrak waiting room today for this birthday celebration, with music by Mariachi Alegre de Tucson, followed by a testimonial by 3 Amtrak officials for late employee David Jones of Tucson, then a history of the Buffalo soldiers by Charles Hancock, Pres. of the SW Assn of Buffalo Soldiers. Mayor Rothschild read the City’s proclamation and joined in the singing of Happy Birthday in Spanish and English by the mariachi group. Lastly TRO string quartet played, while people ate the birthday cake (a bit noisy due to conversations). Happy Birthday Tucson. JP Carmen Dolny present today as well.
