Tedski caught this one at R-cubed. Joe Arpaio joined with Maricopa Board of Supes Chair Andy Kunasek and county attorney Bill Montgomery to write a letter to the state legislature telling them not to balance the state budget on the back of Maricopa County.
Something tells me, though, if the state lege crippled all the other counties financially and left Maricopa alone, Joe would be just fine with it. Conservatives don't believe anyone is in pain unless it's their foot being stepped on.
