18th Annual Labor Day Picnic

    September 1, 2014 @ 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm
    Reid Park Bandshell
    E. 22nd St. Tucson
    Pima Area Labor Federation

Labor Day gives us a unique opportunity to advertise the importance of unions and the good we do for the community during a time when workers need all the support they can get. This leads us to this year’s event theme “Labor Built Arizona”.

The “Labor Built Arizona” is a way to remind Arizonans of the work and the benefits that labor unions have brought to all working people even if they don’t belong to a union. This is tied to the work that the national AFL-CIO is doing to bring our working families issues messaging to all workers. We need to work together to create new jobs and to ensure that our politicians are focused on the workers.
