South Tucson Mayor Akanni Oyegbola

“Akanni says: “I am Akanni Oyegbola and It’s been the honor of my life to serve South Tucson as a City Councilor and former Acting Mayor. With this being the final year of my term, I have decided to run for state office. As a candidate for the House of Representative state office seat, I am committed to making our community a better place to live and work.”

Register in Advance for this Meeting:

Akanni says: “I am running because I believe the future of Arizona lies in the hands of 90 state representatives. I want the well-being of my district to be sustainable through empowerment, economic development (e.g. tourism), health care, housing, mental health, financial literacy, livable wages, mobility, and environmental justice.”

“I speak to residents frequently, and what they want is a representative who has faced challenges and understands the issues they face on a daily basis.”

“My plan is to work with all representatives of the state to provide resources, relief, and reform. My plan can be accomplished by creatively assisting Arizona to become a leader in the fight for equity so everyone has equality. Furthermore, I want every small business in Arizona to thrive.”
