Special primary election for this race in CD 7 is on July 15, 2025. This is an open seat vacated by the death on March 13, 2025 of Congressman Raul Grijalva, father of Adelita Grijalva who is running in the Dem primary. Butierez ran against Raul in the Nov. 2024 General Election.
