“Our speaker Sam Almy, a Data Analyst with Uplift Campaign, will discuss how and why Arizona voters turned a widely misreported ‘red wave’ into a ‘blue tide’ that gave AZDems most of the statewide offices, including US Senate. Sam will give insights into who turned out, who didn’t, and who crossed the aisle and who didn’t.

Sam leads Uplift’s data and ad ops departments. In 2008, Sam started political work in Tucson, working for the AZ Democratic Party’s Coordinated Campaign and reporting as the Voter File Manager for the Arizona Democratic Party. In 2010, he ran a paid canvass with US Congressman Raul Grijalva.
In 2012, Sam moved to Phoenix to focus on data analytics and reporting as the voter file manager for the Arizona Democratic Party. While at the party Sam worked with every campaign from US Senate to School Board.

Democratic US Senator Mark Kelly soundly beat extreme and dangerous Republican Blake Masters by 125,624 votes — just as Democrat Adrian Fontes thrashed Oath Keeper Mark Finchem by 120,220 votes in the Secretary of State race. Democrat Katie Hobbs won the Governorship by 17,225 votes and vowed to veto right-wing legislation from the Republican legislature.

A recount is certain in the Attorney General’s race with Democrat Kris Mayes ahead by only 651 votes out of 2.5 million ballots cast. She was opposed by rightwing Abe Hamadeh, who was never elected to anything before..

Sadly, Democrat Kirsten Engel conceded her loss in the newly redistricted Congressional District 6 in Tucson. The winner is “empty suit” Juan Ciscomani, who won by only 5,232 votes. School Superintendent Kathy Hoffman, a Democrat also conceded to Republican swamp monster Tom Horne, who won by only 8,827 votes.”

Carolyn’s note:  Final tally not completed yet (as of Nov.19) by AZ Sec. of State. View updated results here: https://azsos.gov/
