Carolyn’s note: District 5 Pima County Supervisor & Chair Richard Elias died suddenly on March 28, 2020 at age 61, just after the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. He is survived by his wife Emily and daughter Luz.  He was a huge supporter of literacy and decisively assisted our neighborhood once when we opposed the renaming of Himmel Park library.  R.I.P. Richard, mi amigo.
