Standing room only tonight at this kick off event, with MC former State Senator Paula Aboud, speakers businessman Bruce Dusenberry (a Republican), Annette Everlove of Planned Parenthood, Art Armquist, a Tucson HS fellow alumnus, and Ward 1 Councilwoman Regina Romero. Fred DuVal inspired the crowd saying that the “driver of the 21st Century was human capacity and education”, that “change was coming”, that the V in his name stood for veto (of the extreme legislation passed by Arizona legislators). Present tonight were Rep. Macario Saldate, Sally Ann Gonzales, Victoria Steele, Mayor Jonathan Rothschild, Councilmembers Cunningham, Romero, Uhlich, Chair of Pima County Dem party Don Jorgensen, PCC bd. member Sylvia Lee, SUSD bd. member Daniel Hernandez Jr., TUSD bd. President Adelita Grijalva, candidates Dr. Randall Friese, Betts Putnam-Hidalgo, former Supervisor Dan Eckstrom.
