Gallery Chat: “We Will Outlive them: Reflections on Antisemitism”

Hosted by Jewish History Museum

“What do white nationalists phrases like “Jews will not replace us” mean? What are our responses to it or our tools to dismantle it? Join us for a Gallery Chat with Josie Shapiro, activist and community organizer, who will share their experiences of being at the Charlottesville Unite the Right rally in August 2017 in an effort to both deconstruct and confront antisemitism.

Josie Shapiro has been actively involved in social movements for over 15 years. They have been a part of resistance in a variety of ways, from direct confrontations to providing legal support to those who face criminalization for their political activity. Their motivations come from a deep belief that tikkun olam is a responsibility and that social justice is an integral part of Jewish tradition.”
