“On Friday, Jan, 27 at 7 p.m., Congregation Chaverim will hold International Holocaust Remembrance Day Shabbat Services at TJMHC.
Learn about the March of the Living, an international educational program that brings individuals from around the world to Poland and Israel to study the history of the Holocaust and to examine the roots of prejudice, intolerance and hatred. The trip includes a march from Auschwitz to Birkenau on Yom HaShoah as a tribute to all victims of the Holocaust.
Teens and adults who have taken part in the March of the Living, including Chaverim’s Rabbi Stephanie Aaron, will discuss the impact of the experience.
A special Oneg Shabbat following the service will honor local survivors.”
