Stay tuned to find out which local comedians will be performing at this monthly showcase, every last Sunday at Club Congress in the Hotel Congress.  Laughing Liberally started up again in March, 2015 at Sky Bar on 4th Avenue, and they lampoon politicians and candidates on the local, state, national levels.

New move to Club Congress, 311 E. Congress St. starting in March, 2016.

U.S. Presidential election this year, so there’s lots to joke about with the primaries/caucuses happening this spring.

One response to “Laughing Liberally Tucson Comedy Showcase

  1. Laughing Liberally has a better venue now on a real stage at Club Congress with a rapt audience (unlike those side conversations at Sky Bar). MC Alex Kack first introduced Phil Gordon, who said that Governor Ducey is the “soda jerk in chief”, asked if any in the audience supported Trump to absolute silence, joked about Donald Trump’s kid as Baron von Trump; then Dave Margolis asked about depression support groups, Christianity & what kind of father was God who “sacrificed his son”, then Ryan Malco who felt the Bern, wonders why he is a Superman “look alike”, joked about Ted Cruz sex tapes, comparison of Trump to Hitler; then Elliot Glicksman said that Trump sounded good in the “original German”, that Trump’s only running mate was unavailable (being Charles Manson still in prison), Republicans didn’t believe in global warming. Next up was Pete Christiansen who joked about images, that LAPD officers were bored so they were now beating up white people, about his adventures freezing in Flagstaff, and then performed various different radio disc jockeys imitations. Last was Nick Cerami, who works w/ Republican finance people and asked if there were any Libertarians in the house. Overall another funny show by these male comedians. Stay tuned every last Sunday of the month at Club Congress.
