Carolyn’s note:  Tom won the Dem primary in this race for CD1 House on August 30. His General election opponent is Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu, a Republican. This is the open seat to be vacated by Congresswoman Ann Kirkpatrick, who is running for U.S. Senate against senior Arizona Senator John McCain.  His campaign website: http://www.tomohalleran.com/

From wikipedia about O’Halleran: O’Halleran formerly served as a Republican in the Arizona State Legislature.
