April 25, 2018 @ 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Broadway Blvd. and Country Club Rd., Tucson

Hosted by Voices for Education

“This Wednesday we’re trying to make every major intersection on Broadway Red4Ed from 4-6:00 p.m. Join Voices for Ed and PDA at Country Club and Broadway corner at 4 p.m. Wear red, bring signs and friends, have fun, go home at 6:00. Let’s show the governor we support teachers and demand a dedicated funding source for education.”

One response to “RedforEd on Broadway and Country Club Rd.

  1. Over 200 people (a sea of red) at this Country Club intersection, including Robin Hiller, E.D. of Voices for Education and Eloise Carrillo, former Sam Hughes Elem. School principal. Also supporters at Treat Ave. and Tucson Blvd. — about 100 more at least. Lots of cars/trucks honking as they drove by. Good civics lesson for the children/youth present, about labor unions and strikes for better pay/funding. Even 94 year old Martha Ortiz and son Quintin, who marched with Cesar Chavez were present. Let’s see what happens this week with this Arizona teacher strike, with most of the Tucson School Districts closing tomorrow.
