Santa Cruz Watershed Day of Caring & Connection on the Rillito

“Save the date! On Saturday, November 2nd between 8am-11am, Tucson Clean and Beautiful and partners are hosting a community restoration and clean-up experience along the recovering urban reach of the Rillito River in the Flowing Wells Neighborhood!

Educational stewardship experience will prioritize; removing trash and invasive species, spreading native wildflowers via seed bombs, and environmental education opportunities connecting participants to their cultural and ecological landscape.

This restoration project focuses on highly trafficked and visible areas along the urban reaches of the Rillito River. Participants will make noticeable impacts through litter removal and invasive species like buffelgrass, and hands-on learning.

Please bring a water bottle, close toed shoes, sun protection and a friend!”
