  1. Crowd was estimated to be at 11,000 tonight at Reid Park bandshell, with MC Isabel Garcia (former Pima County Public Defender) and CD 2 Congressman Raul Grijalva speaking before Sanders. The Senator was charismatic, energetic in his attacks against corporate America & banks, the 1% with tax breaks. He energized the audience with repeated applause for over an hour, in his talk against corporate greed, helping the middle class & their college debt, eliminating poverty, helping immigrants & Dreamers, reforming the flawed criminal justice system, raising the minimum wage to $15/hour, pay equity for women, gay rights, eliminating institutional racism, etc. He said he did not accept PAC $ and his average donation for his campaign was $30. Sanders voiced the call for a “revolution”of people over corporations, to take back our country from the super rich, to ensure health care for all, 3 months maternity leave for women, economic justice for the working classes. His honest statements about many of the economic injustices faced today was obviously the reason many thousands of people are drawn to Sanders’ grassroots campaign for President.
