“In true SOS AZ fashion, we’re combining party & productivity!

Background: Gov. Ducey will be visiting Arizona School for the Arts Thursday to “show his appreciation” (read: create hypocritical photo-ops for himself). We’d like to remind him that public schools and public charters like ASA are hurt by SB1431 and his policy of under-funding education by greeting him upon arrival with a SOS AZ Volunteer Rally! Then, we celebrate!

8:30 AM-9 AM Volunteer Rally on the public sidewalk lining ASA, Southwest corner of 3rd St. and McDowell – bring signs that say “No SB1431”, “Support Public Ed”, “Pay AZ Teachers”, etc.

9 AM-10:30 AM: ALL SOS AZ volunteers are invited to join us for FREE coffee and doughnuts at Rainbow Donuts (1347 E. McDowell Road, Phoenix 85006) as thanks for a summer of amazing work!

HOW TO GET THERE: Good places to park off-site include northbound 3rd St (across the street from ASA) or on Willetta east of 3rd St. Or you can take light rail to McDowell / Central Avenue Station and walk 3 blocks east. Please arrive no earlier than 8 AM, and do not park in or block entry to the school’s two parking lots off 3rd St.

Please post below with any questions and see you Thursday at 8:30 AM – meet up on the corner of 3rd St & McDowell.”[%7B%22surface%22%3A%22page%22%2C%22mechanism%22%3A%22main_list%22%2C%22extra_data%22%3A%22%7B%5C%22page_id%5C%22%3A884245815047912%2C%5C%22tour_id%5C%22%3Anull%7D%22%7D]%2C%22has_source%22%3Atrue%7D
