“Who and What is on Your Ballot?”

“Vote Progressive! This meeting will be focused on getting new and infrequent voters up to speed about the candidates and propositions on the November ballot. We will be discussing what each office does and the impact a win or lose will have on the progressive movement. If you are a first time voter, sporadic voter or struggling with the idea of giving your vote to a moderate democrat, this is the place to be!

We’ll be discussing everything you need to know about voting! We are also welcoming the AFL-CIO to share about their union endorsed candidates and propositions.

    Yummy snacks provided.
This event is the monthly meeting of the Progressive Democrats of Southern Arizona (PDOSA). (Yes, you can come even if you’re not a democrat). We meet on the Second Saturday of every month.”

    1. Meeting called to order 20 minutes late by President of PDOSA, with reps from Justice Alliance, PALF, Mi Familia Vota. They discussed the various federal races first – U.S. Senate (vote for moderate Kysten Sinema), CD 1 (moderate Tom O’Halleran, former Republican), CD 2 (Ann Kirkpatrick despite her vote on Oak Flat mine, as Ds need that seat), CD 3 (Raul Grijalva, founder of Progressive Caucus in Congress), then statewise for David Garcia for Governor (education advocate) etc. Had to leave for another event so missed rest of meeting discussion on other races. 20 progressive Dems at this meeting, said they had to move beyond the Primary to accept moderates who won some races.
