“Salt of the Earth Labor College Presents:
WHY WE RAN FOR ELECTIVE OFFICE?

Presentation and discussion with Roxanna Valenzuela, Brian Flagg, and Cesar Aguirre, newly elected City of South Tucson City Council members.

Saturday, September 24, 2:00 pm
at Salt of the Earth Labor College, 1902 East Irene Vista

Largely ignored by the big business media, three community activists from the Casa Maria Soup Kitchen have won a landslide victory in the August election. They were motivated to run by the housing crisis that is tearing apart the lives of so many folks in impoverished South Tucson and across the country. They feel that as elected ‘leaders’ they will be able to give some leadership to a campaign, locally and statewide. to confront sky-high rent increases, evictions, gentrification, and an explosion of newly homeless people. We all must be part of this struggle.
