DESCRIPTION:by Carolyn Classen\, blogger \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“The Benevolent and Protective Order of the Tucson Elks Lodge 385 is pleased to announce that it will be hosting the 17th Annual “Bike In A Box” Christmas bicycle give away event this Saturday\, December 6th\, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at the Lodge located at 1800 North Oracle Road (Oracle Road & Lester Street).  \n\n\n\nA special invitation to 500 under-privileged children that are selected from youth organizations\, schools\, churches\, and children-support agencies in the Tucson area will be attending this special day of giving as Santa\, Mrs. Claus\, and the Superheros will welcome the children.   \n\n\n\nThe bicycles are given in the box so that the parents or guardians can\, together with the child\, assemble the bicycle in promoting the true Christmas spirit and teaching the children the basic assembly and adjustments to their new bike   \n\n\n\nJoin us\, to witness the joy in children’s eyes as they receive their Christmas bicycle and a safety helmet that are custom fitted by the Tucson Medical Center volunteers.   \n\n\n\nSanta\, Mrs. Claus\, and Superheros will leave at 11:00 am as they have many other stops so don’t be late to cover this event. “ \n\n\n\nMerry Christmas\,  \n\n\n\nJesse Lugo   \n\n\n\nTucson Elks Lodge 385  \n\n\n\nCall: 520-440-3305   \n\n\n\nCarolyn’s note: This is a terrific program which I’ve been publicizing for years. I attended once to see these kids receive their new bikes. It was a very heartwarming experience thanks to organizer Jesse Lugo\, who just ran for Ward 5 Councilman in the Dem primary in August 2025. He had also run before for this same seat over twenty years ago\, as well as AZ House.
