Bourbon\, and BBQ! We were so darn pleased with the enthusiasm and energy at our last partnered Happy Hour with Vets Forward\, we decided to do another one with Arizona’s Legislative District 17 to focus on our fantastic slate of Democratic candidates for the Arizona State House and Senate in that district. Edgar Soto ran for District 3 Pima County Supervisor in July 2024 Dem primary (came in 2nd in 4 way race). He will face off in the General Election with the winner of the July 21 Republican primary. \n\n\n\nIncumbent Dem LD 17 Rep. Kevin Volk holds one of the House seats\, so Dem Holly Lyon is trying to unseat current 2nd term Republican Rachel Jones Keshel for that other seat. Lyon ran for a House seat in then-LD 11 in 2014 and 2018.  \n\n\n\nCurrent voter stats for LD 17: Dems 51\,352\, Republicqns 69\,636\, Independents 60\, 613.
