Fowl Play: Our Chicken Congressman and His Turkey Donor

While Senator Mark Kelly was risking his life this week to speak to his constituents at the Friday town hall, Congressman Juan Ciscomani not only refused to hold town halls; he removed the bushes in front of his office and installed a fence to keep his constituents at bay.

The new fence is being constructed.

What is Juan afraid of? Surely not the senior citizens who protest in front of his office every Saturday. Maybe the first appearance of inflatable costumes at the protests?

Two inflatable turkeys showed up last Saturday with a sign saying, “Only Turkeys Fund Ciscomani.” The sign referred to Tucson car dealer Jim Click, who is Ciscomani’s largest local donor.

Well, I guess birds of a feather flock cowardly together.

  1. While the Tucson city government goes all out to add trees and other vegetation to the city wherever it can, Congressman Ciscomani has perfectly healthy shrubbery removed from the parking lot in front of his office in order to add a miniature border wall preventing pass through of his constituents to the parking lot. What next?
