“Christmas is just a few weeks away, and with today’s economy struggles and increase in family needs for the less privileged, your financial help is being requested.
Lugo Charities Inc. is please to announce of the 7th Annual Bike In A Box event to benefit 500 under-privileged children with a new bicycle and a safety helmet. The Bike In A Box event will occur at the Elks Lodge 385 on Saturday, December 12, 2015. However, in order to purchase the 500 bicycles, we need to raise the $25,000.00. Your contributions are tax deductible so please consider in sponsoring bicycles for this worth cause.
We will be live on The John C. Scott radio show this Thursday, November 19th and Friday, November 20th on Power Talk 1210 am radio studio for a two-day event. You can call in your pledges during the show times listed below at 750-7456, or you can stream and listen to the program and mail in your pledge with the attached contribution form.

Carolyn’s note: I’ve been helping publicize this worthy event for several years now, starting when I was with the Tucsoncitizen.com. Please call in to the radio show this Thursday and Friday to help donate $ to purchase these bikes. I was there last year to witness the give-away on a very wet day in December, but kids and their families stood patiently in line for a long time in the rain to get their valuable bikes.
