Thanks to Carolyn Classen at the Tucson Citizen for covering this morning's special election to replace retiring Sen. Linda Lopez. Clinco, Dalessandro & Nunez nominated for selection in LD 2 Senate vacancy:
The Democratic precinct committee persons in LD 2 met today in Green Valley and nominated the following three individuals, one of whom will be selected by the Pima County Board of Supervisors at their January 21, 2014 meeting as the successor until the end of the year:
1 – Andrea Dalessandro, current LD 2 House Rep. (elected 2012), who has said she will run for this vacant seat in the November, 2014 election. She had run for State House in former LD 30 twice before unsuccessfully.
2 – Demion Clino, President of the Tucson Historic Preservation Foundation, political newcomer
3 – Annabelle Nunez, associate librarian with Arizona Health Sciences Library at U of AZ, political newcomer

The Board of Supervisors will make their choice at the next regular meeting on Tuesday, January 21.
