I attended the recent LWVGT  forum on September 17 at the Joel D. Valdez main library on these 2 state-wide ballot measures.  Read the League’s research information, then what the supporters and opponents are saying.

These voter guides are also available in print format at the public library branches.

Vote wisely on or before Nov. 8, 2016.  Early ballots go out on October 12.

  1. Coincidentally the “What’s On My Ballot?” 2016 General Election Publicity Pamphlet arrived at home today with official arguments for & against these propositions.

    Some examples:
For Prop. 205: “Arizona Attorneys for Criminal Justice”, “Campaign to Regulate Marijuana like Alcohol”, etc.
Against Prop. 205: “Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry”, “Tucson Hispanic Chamber”, Gov. Doug Ducey, Congressman Matt Salmon, “Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce”, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos

For Prop. 206:Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton, Maricopa County Supervisor Steve Gallardo, Pima County Supervisor Richard Elias, Congressmen Raul Grijalva and Ruben Gallego, etc.
Against Prop. 206: “Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry”, “Arizona Farm Bureau”, “Greater Phoenix Chamber ofCommerce”, “Tucson Metro Chamber”, “Arizona Restaurant Association”, etc.

    • Yes, and so said many of your LWVGT colleagues today at the GOTV Kick off Event at the YWCA of Southern Arizona. By the way, my frist name is Carolyn (not Caroline). Thanks for commenting.
