Dr. Lambert became the Chancellor of Pima in July of 2013 and began the work to get Pima College off of probation that was imposed by the Higher Learning Commission and to address the challenges facing the educational institution.

  1. Chancellor Lambert spoke to a large audience at Rigo’s about his focus on 1) student success 2) community being apart of PCC 3) diversity. He gave specifics are student centered learning, nurturance, access to all , about strengthening community/school partnerships with other school districts, universities, businesses, and lastly about diversity & globalization to bring students from Mexico, Korea, China. The accreditation team will be visiting on September 15 to 17, so community input is important. MC tonight was former Pima County Supervisor Dan Eckstrom, and attending (among others) were Councilmembers Fimbres & Romero, PCC board members Sylvia Lee and Marty Cortez, former bd. member Vicky Marshall, House Rep. Macario Saldate, Demion Clinco, TUSD board members Cam Juarez, Kristel Foster, Adelita Grijalva, SUSD members Buck Crouch, Eva Dong Carillo, former State Senators Victor Soltero, Jaime Gutierrez, the Mexican Consul, LULAC Tucson Urban League, NAACP representatives, etc.
