My husband and I dropped by this final?Tucson Death Cafe (the 2 organizers want to hand the torch onto someone else, after almost 3 years). Everyone introduced themselves and were asked to say a euphemism about death. Amazing all the varied responses such as “kick the bucket”, move onto the Light, pass on, the Big Moment, disappear, jumping off the shovel, etc. Mine was “transition” when someone dies. Stay tuned to see if these Death Cafes continue in Tucson. Others spoke of Jenkinson’s teachings over the weekend, and his mention of our culture being death-phobic.
