My New (Second) Home

A bit of self-promotion. I'll be changing my blogging pattern a bit, but only slightly.

I'll still be ranting here at about the same frequency, but it looks like I'll also be posting some of my tax and inequality related pieces at inequality.org, for which I really feel honored. It's the website for the Institute for Policy Studies' program on inequality. From all I've seen so far, the folks there are whip smart, do great work, and are dedicated to making the world a better place. And their editing skills are awesome, or so they seem to me. Although improving my written product is not exactly a tall order.

Today's post, Retirement Vehicle or Giveaway to the Rich, is the first in a series about the rapidly expanding pool of assets generating income not subject to current taxation. This post focuses on how Roth IRAs ultimately will prove to be a giant giveaway of tens of billions of tax dollars each year to the very wealthy.

If you have a few, please click on the link to the post and, while you're there, take a look at some of the other posts. If you're interested in the fight against inequality, inequality.org is a great resource.
