A quick recap: Bernie Sanders got most, but not all of what all he wanted in the Democratic Party platform, the Democratic Party has agreed to review its nomination process after the election, and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz is out as DNC Chair, something which cheers almost all Democrats. All in all, a pretty damn good week for a candidate who lost.

Bernie Sanders endorsed Hillary Clinton two weeks ago — and we just saw a dramatic demonstration that not all of his supporters are particularly happy about it.
While addressing a rally of Sanders supporters in Philadelphia on Monday afternoon, the senator said, “We have got to defeat Donald Trump, and we have got to elect Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine” — and he was met by a chorus of boos.
The loud booing continued for some time. “Brothers and sisters. This is the real world that we live in,” Sanders said. “Trump is a bully and a demagogue. Trump has made bigotry the cornerstone of his campaign.”
These delegates are not reflective of Sanders supporters as a whole. According to a new poll from the Pew Research Center, 90% of consistent Bernie Sanders supporters are backing Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump.
But the media villagers will go out of their way to report the comments of any naysayer because the media villagers just love their “Democrats in disarray” and “Dems divided” alliteration headlines. Thanks for playing right into the media’s hands, delegates.
I hope you will behave like mature adults during Bernie Sanders’ prime time speech tonight.
If you’re not watching the convention, Vermont abstained so they could vote last, and Bernie stood up to commit all his delegates to Hillary, asking that the rules be waived.
There was a touching speech from the Vermont folks and Bernie followed it with one very classy move.
As far as Cruz/Trump and the rest of the GOTeaP party of hate, a few boos from Bernie supporters are not so bad all things considered.
I suggest you watch that portion of the convention, it will make you proud to be not a Republican.

I don’t think they are being paid, Captain. I believe the paid trolls were mostly on Twitter and they were easy to spot. And you’re not a troll.
It’s time to let go of this pretense that anything Bernie supporters have done (or possibly could do) compares to the dirty politicking of the Democratic Party so-called “leaders” and their flunkies at the DNC. This was a set up from day one, to fulfill the political ambitions of one woman, party royalty, the wife of the beloved ex-president Clinton.
Things that start out bad and rotten usually don’t become good and pure. The DNC has played a dangerous game and they still could lose an election that they should be landsliding if they had a good candidate. Hillary is struggling for reasons that were highly predictable. If we end up with Trump for a president, God help us. But cast the blame squarely on the DNC and Hillary Clinton’s blind ambition and her supporters who CHOOSE willful ignorance.
I tend to believe that Hillary will eventually win although I can’t say there is anything substantive that I can put behind that belief. Black folks are going to turn out in droves to vote against Trump because they are loyal Democrats and they fear Trump. This turnout may help significantly in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Florida, the key battleground states. And for their loyalty, they will receive NOTHING in return, just wait and see.
In fact, it will probably be less than 18 months before this newly minted progressive and liberal Hillary is forgotten and reverts back. And the Democratic Platform? What Platform?
When Hillary Clinton immediately hired Debbie Wasserman-Schultz after her forced resignation, well, that is a pretty clear signal that Hillary doesn’t give a damn about Bernie or his supporters. DWS isn’t qualified to run a dog fight, and she’s really appears to be just a bad person.

Also, wasn’t there something in one of those DNC mails that lamented how Hillary had to move left to appeal to the millenials because of Bernie instead of “pivoting to the center?”
What an extraordinary amount of pure, unadulterated, horse manure in those emails. Well, back to “Trump is a Monster, we must defeat him”….
You forgot to mention Sanders’ finding out that the DNC conspired in a most nasty way to stick it to him. I think that more than negates the others things you mentioned occurring during Bernie’s “damn good week.”
Also, I do not think they booed Sanders. I think they booed his statement that they support Hillary – big difference. Hard to believe that this conservative R can take the pulse of a D crowd better than AZ BlueMeanie.

This article sounds like something that belongs on the tinfoil hat Arizona Daily Independent.
The Democratic party recently lost some major elections. The cause was poor voter turnout, caused by disillusionment over party politics.
In Arizona, the Democratic party completely forgot to turn out the Hispanic vote. The party has become outdated and entrenched with outdated machine politics and a very serious generational gap, resting too long on its accomplishments of decades ago. It only shows up on people’s doorsteps when it needs our vote. THAT is why so many young people supported a man in his seventies.
Hillary Clinton is the democratic version of sun city, dressed like a Monty Python pepperpot caricature and chooses a non-entity as a partner. She attends scripted meetings, making empty promises.
Risk averse, no creativity, no leadership skills. Your remarks are condescending and show clearly why the democratic party in Arizona needs to be urgently taken over by a younger generation that is more culturally diverse.
This is exactly what the RNC needed and Trump needed to ensure a strong possible victory. Instead of talking about the terrible RNC convention and the hate and racism, the media narrative is how the DNC is torn apart. Trump has declared the DNC dead, delegates are booing on the floor. Nobody is talking about Trump or his extensive list of faults and statements. The positive coverage for Trump continues (any coverage for Trump is possitive for him) and the only narrative in the media is the corrupt DNC and corrupt Clinton. Personally I just see Hillary being a politician and find it ironic that the RNC is controlling the narrative over something that they were wishing they could have done.
It is day 1 of the DNC convention and the only thing the average American sees is chaos. I know it is still early but I am beginning to get a strong gut feeling that we are about to lose this country.
