The KKK Endorsed Candidate Steps in It Again by calling the Coronavirus the Chinese Virus

EJ Montini of AZ Central noted in his most recent column that Mr. Trump has resorted to calling the Coronavirus “The Chinese Virus” in retaliation for operatives from China spreading a false conspiracy theory that the American military called the virus.

When asked about this at the daily Coronavirus briefing this morning where it was announced the Defense Department and FEMA would be accelerating their contributions to combat the virus (March 18, 2020,) the 2016 KKK Endorsed Candidate, who has been acting more Presidential the last couple of days (other than his attempt to rewrite history in saying he knew it was a pandemic all along,) refused to back down, saying he was “not being racist” and turned it back on China, blaming them for spreading their outlandish conspiracy theories against the American Military.

A reporter from NPR then asked him to comment on one of his staffers calling the virus “Kung Flu.” The 2016 KKK Endorsed Candidate was evasive in his response and ended the briefing after one additional question.

During the Black Death in the Fourteenth Century, many Anti-Semitic Acts were committed against Jews because of false accusations that they had contaminated local water supplies.

There should not be Twenty-First Equivalent of those Middle Age Acts today.

There should not be a country spreading false conspiracy theories about the origins of the Coronavirus like China is doing.

There should also not be a President of the United States stoking nativist and paranoid sentiments calling a virus based on where it originated.

Some people may listen to this and look for scapegoats (innocent people) to take out their fears and ignorance.

This can not be allowed to continue.

Humanity will get through this Public Health Crisis faster and better by working together and not building walls of mistrust and ignorance between us.

If only the KKK Endorsed Candidate can see that.

  1. Historical Note: During the 1918-19 flu pandemic, wartime censors minimized reports of illness and mortality in Germany, the United Kingdom, France, and the United States. Newspapers were free to report the epidemic’s effects in neutral Spain, however. These stories created the false impression of Spain as the epicenter of the flu, giving rise to the pandemic’s nickname “Spanish flu.”

The 1918-19 flu pandemic is believed to have actually started in Kansas, after a cook at Fort Riley was reported sick with a volatile form of influenza (H1/N1) on March 4, 1918. Within three weeks, more than 1,100 soldiers had shown similar symptoms, according to the Kansas State Historical Society. The outbreak appeared to subside, and many Fort Riley soldiers were sent to Europe to fight in World War I. But the disease mutated there and began to kill in large numbers.

  2. KKK endorsed and impeached.

Racists always blame others for their own shortcomings.

  3. I agree 45 has shown some ‘presidential’ qualities in last few days. Today’s national address, he continued the incorrect use of Chinese Virus. Never using the correct term of the COVID-19. I think all others who spoke today are using COVID-19. I would assume that some of the other experts on his Task Team would address this with 45 in private to use the correct terminology. It builds trust but our dear leader is not concerned about being trustworthy. I also noticed that 45 today did not dispel the false conspiracy that Sen Tom Cotton has been pushing. PS – I have consistently addressed the incorrect termonology with Rep Paul Gozar (my inadequate rep sad face) as he continues to use the same term of Chinese Virus in ALL of his official postings. I get dismissed as always. I am in the gerrymandered southernmost portion of his district – sadly outnumbered.

  4. One lie countered by another lie does not equal the truth. It makes a world filled with even more lies and separates us from solutions based on facts.
