Tick, tock Tommy, time to put up or shut up

In this Political insider from the Arizona Republic dated July 31, 2011, political opportunist Tom Horne "was quick to announce an investigation into the Independent Redistricting Commission for possible violations of the Open Meeting Law, even as he said he didn't know whether there had been any wrongdoing. . . Horne [said] he's trying to work quickly since the commission's work is ongoing. Look for work to wrap up next month [August]." Tick, tock Tommy, time to put up or shut up.

And maybe the political reporters in this state should FOIA request Horne's investigation file, in particular, the "evidence" from Sen. "Don't make me angry" Frank Antenori, since Howard Fischer hasn't followed up on his earlier reporting. Horne investigates redistricting commission over alleged procurement, open meeting violations – East Valley Tribune:

Sen. Frank Antenori, R-Tucson, said he has proof that laws were broken.

"We have evidence of destruction of government documents subject to public record request, shredding, as a matter of fact," he said. He also said there is evidence of "bid-rigging."

Antenori said he is making what he has available to Horne. He said he was unable to immediately get copies to Capitol Media Services.

Enough of this B.S. It's time to end this political witch hunt. As the old Wendy's ad asked, "Where's the beef?"
