It’s that time again, to wish all of you a Happy St. Patrick’s Day on March 17.
The annual St. Patrick’s Day parade & festival in downtown Tucson will be held on Saturday, March 15 at 10 a.m. See the parade map above starting at Stone Avenue and E. 16th Street and going north to Armory Park (between E. 12th and E. 13th Streets and along S. 6th Avenue).
More at their website (click here). Theme for this year’s parade is:
Our Strength is Our People
Grand Marshall for the parade is George O’Leary, “one of the pillars of Irish dance in Tucson.” At the festival there’s always lots of beer, Irish and Celtic paraphernalia to purchase, lively Irish dancers, and good luck. I’ve been to it many a time, and have always enjoyed dressing in green, wearing my shamrocks, and eating corned beef/cabbage or Irish stew.
May the luck of the Irish be with you at this parade/festival, and also on St. Patrick’s Day.
About your map. Arizona is NOT an alley, it is a small AVE. We only have one alley in the neighborhood. This is just an FYI. Thanks:)
