Tucson Storytellers Project, hosted by the Arizona Daily Star and This is Tucson, is a live storytelling event dedicated to the idea that oral storytelling and journalism have the same goals: Serving and reflecting the community while fostering empathy.

Check-in for the event starts at 6 p.m., and stories begin at 6:30 p.m. Seating and tickets are first-come, first-serve. Students: $8. General public: $10. Tickets at Tucson.com/storytellers
