For several years now the Central Tucson Gallery Assn. (CTGA)  has sponsored art walks on the 1st Saturdays of each month, to encourage Tucsonans to visit art galleries and shop local.  Tonight several of these galleries are open from 6 (or 7) p.m. to 9 p.m.

1 thought on “Walk around downtown on 1st Saturday Art Walks”

  1. Visited several galleries tonight and enjoyed Ruben Urrea Romero’s sketches for a proposed board game entitled “Snakes & Ladders”, esp. “La Cupacabra” (cow goat) figure, and “Los Politic@s”. Were awed at the photos by Ole Jorgensen of Nordic creatures at Baker + Hassseldenz, and a mixed media on campus mural “Un Cuento Universal” by Angel Pahuamba of Michoacan, Mexico. Diverse art is being shown here in Tucson. Also checked out Jessica Drenk’s paper art at Conrad Wilde, along w/ the other fiber, wood & paper creations by the other artists. Finally we stopped by Wee Gallery to see “The Ancients” small framed photos of nature in Arizona, California, England. More to see, but ran out of energy till next month’s 1st Saturday art walk.
